About Dr. Megan Dankovich
Education and Training

Megan Dankovich, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist and fellow of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  She received her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where she received the merit-based Wiener Award in psychiatry in addition to several other honors and awards. She continued her training at George Washington to complete her residency in psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  She recently completed a graduate program for health professionals in nutrition science from the prestigious Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She is licensed to practice medicine in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

In addition to her private practice where she provides both psychotherapy and medication management, Dr. Megan Dankovich, is a faculty member serving as a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where she supervises and teaches both resident physicians and medical students.  She is a Fellow (FAPA) of the American Psychiatric Association, an active member of the Washington Psychiatric Society and the American Medical Association, an affiliate member of the Maryland Psychiatric Society, and has also served on the George Washington University Hospital ethics committee. She is a frequent guest lecturer at various universities and in primary education as well. One of her proudest endeavors is fundraising annually for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, where she participates in community and regional walks and other volunteer roles.

​Dr. Megan Dankovich completed additional fellowship training in prescribing psychiatric medications through the Neuroscience Education Institute Master of Psychopharmacology Program where she graduated with distinction.  She also graduated with distinction from The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services Residency Fellowship in Health Policy.
